Mailing and Shipping Containers
Mailing and shipping containers can be used to transport culture packs, serums, vaccines, or laboratory specimens. Insulated containers are ideal for refrigerated or frozen materials. Diagnostic containers for specimen transfer are liquid tight and tamper evident. Hard cases can be used for dry ice and wet ice storage, short-term frozen storage, field collection, or cryogenic testing.
Mailing and shipping containers are used to maintain the temperature and integrity of items during transport, including culture packs, serums, vaccines, or laboratory specimens. Insulated containers are ideal for refrigerated or frozen materials and consist of plastic foam enclosed within a corrugated cardboard box.
Containers for diagnostic or clinical specimen transfer may need to be liquid-tight and tamper-evident. Hard cases can be used for dry ice and wet ice storage, short-term frozen storage, field collection, and cryogenic testing.
Shipping and mailing packaging may be tested and certified for temperature maintenance ability. The packaging may also have labels to indicate approval by the Department of Transportation (DOT) or International Air Transport Association (IATA) for shipping potentially infectious or biohazardous materials.

Mitegen Dry Shipper Air Dryer for Efficient Moisture Removal
The Dry Shipper Air Dryer is an essential accessory for maintaining the performance and longevity of dry shippers, such as the CX100. Dry shippers can accumulate ice and moisture, which reduces their liquid nitrogen (LN2) holding capacity and compromises their insulating properties. While warming a dry shipper melts this ice, the Dry Shipper Air Dryer is specifically designed to efficiently remove any residual moisture, ensuring the dry shipper is thoroughly dry before recharging and subsequent use. For optimal results, it should be used in conjunction with the MiTeGen Dry Shipper Warming and Drying Racks, see SKUs ML-DR-CX100-2 and ML-DR-CX100-4. This tool utilizes two small centrifugal blowers to provide a gentle, integrated heated airflow that targets and removes residual moisture from the adsorbent material without causing any damage. It is an essential tool for maximizing holding times and protecting the integrity of your samples.
